Tempest

Triskalia recorded live at the Montreal International Folk Festival in 2005. Performing Tempest it is a song written by Roger Lymburner about Tempest Smith a young girl who took her own life after bullying and religious persecution.

You could see so much beauty in all, they could not see in you, were they so afraid that you were what they could not be?

A child of nature, a spirit devine. You embraced what others cannot find.

Soul searching across the divide, your memory shall be hounored for all time.

You decided to end the pain, for them you could not change. To fit in their tiny box blind and all the same.

Death will eventually take us all, so sad you could not wait, now you walk the other side free from all the hate.

i lived right outside the city the tempest lived in and every one at my school and in my neighbor hood(including me) made buttons that said r.i.p tempest smith with a picture of here on it

Cool, it is sad that something like that had to happen. We need to find a way to deal with these situations before they reach such devastating conclusion. Because even after they are gone the suffering of the loved ones begins. Thanks for the comment.

Tempest was an amazing girl, and it's kickass knowing that people care and get impacted by her memory,her story, her short twelve years of life.
