I have this exact same fan but mines in excellent condition, almost never used. These fucked will run forever, unlike the "one fan every season" they sell now!
When we waz kidz, we knew better than do something stoopeed like dat, but we did put baseball cards in the blade cuz it sounded kewl!
My dad had his power tools in the basement workbench, saws, drill press, grinder, vise, and all those sharp hand tools, we were scared to get into that stuff for more than one reason, there was DANGER to our rear ends if we did!
Earlier this summer my neighbors brought their grandkids to my house, they actually had the temerity to ask me to turn off the fans (which I didn't, I told them to keep an eye on the brats.) I figure if my dog has the brains to not stick his nose into a fan, certainly a person should know better as well. ;-)
It is up to the parents to teach the kid common sense. That is something that is really missing in today's whiny litigious world.
i also liked the 1930s hunter original too show it again if you want I would like to see it on the ceiling.

Very neat SE fan! I have a late 60s or early 70s blue SE 3-speed fan that I need to put back together and make a vid of it soon.
