First appearing in Avengers #80 (September 1970) the native American man who would become Red Wolf swore vengeance after his family were cheated out of their land and murdered by a crime lord. He donned the ceremonial garb of Red Wolf which imbued him with the spiritual legacy of a native American god, granting him superhuman strength, agility and acute sense. Using these powers and with the help of the Avengers Red Wolf claimed his vengeance!
