Take care not to rev over 1800 rpm in P. Any higher the clutch might start to engage causing the friction plates to wear. I set it to N when starting cold. And you are right, very simple and easy to fix and very cheap to run.

I have matic transmission with 1400 ccm engine by Renault. Do you know that Volvos's 340 and series from 70's 80's were equiped by Renault? Generally the car is one of the most lovely cars in my life (I have had 5 or 6). I could say Volvo 340 DL is the car can drive on water not petrol :) It is maximum simple and relible car. Strating from this car you can really know what is car hobby and the pleasure from driving.
