If you want to call in more big toms, then learn how to imitate these clips. (especially the first hen). Check out this awesome video of a Gobbler doing the Fighting Purr http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ddHXLw7Txw

  • Seems like they really like it when the hen clucks hard once or twice and then breaks immediately into a yelp series.

  • @mahidude Yup, I always use that sequence and it drives the longbeards crazy!

  • zooming was dizzy the audio was great! ive been looking for fall turkey calls, since they deviate from spring calling, and this has helped alot! we usually only hunt our turkeys in the spring, and we can take two birds of either sex fall season, and toms only in the spring with a stipulation of at least a 3" beard, was curious if you could harvest either sex in your area, since you didnt take that hen

  • @1gamoguy You can harvest either sex in the fall season here. But this was actually filmed in the spring when they must have "a visible beard". Thanks for watching!

  • @Keithlovelace1 nice, also i forgot to ask, are your hours of hunting the same for both spring and fall? here during the spring we can be in the woods one half hour before sunrise and can only hunt till 12 noon, fall its sunrise to sunset

  • @1gamoguy Here it is half hour before sunrise to half hour after sunset in the spring and fall season.

  • @Keithlovelace1 one thing i dont get about NY, our hunting seasons are really oddball, the only answer i got to why we can only hunt such short hours during the spring, was to give the hens time to settle down, and back on the nest to start incubating their eggs... unless osceola turkeys breed differently, iam just dumbfounded why other states that have eastern turkeys can hunt normal hours

  • @marine919 dude dont be hateing, why dont you put your yelping on you tube

  • Nice vid

  • matt van cise sounds just like that first hen
