Epson powerlite home cinema projector 8350 customer service report

i sell and install projectors and i rate the major players in the home theater biz based on yrs of dealing with em . needless to say my ratings put epson as excellent the very best with service issues sony one of the worst , optoma good. sanyo fair to good . panasonic mitsubishi fair , infocus &viewsonic ok .. sharp very good. you have an issue with epson its taken care of that day . with projectors being what they are now adays warranty service is very important . sold 7 of these 8350s in the last 4 months only one had an issue it was dealt with the next day

square trade is NOT A SUBSITUTE for a manufactures warranty, the best bet is to avoid any warranty hassles , buying used from ebay is crap shoot buying new is fine as long as u get manufact warranty , square trade and after market warranty providers have mixed reviews . epson had it done in 24hrs hotswapped at no cost to me ! thats as good as it gets

With projectors now adays u need a warranty as they are problems waiting to happen just remember to by from an authorized dealer no matter what brand it is or u may not have a warranty buying a new projector on ebay sometimes can be a disaster ,make sureu are buying off an factory auth seller call the manufact and check before u buy

well the screen is just flat white paint with some Silver metallic and egg shell mixed in to give some gain on a peice of $10 foam , now its in eco mode at 11.5 feet on a rear shelf sitting upright 22 inches from ceiling using a little downward lens shift , flat white paint makes a great screen with this kind of brightness in fact i had several pricy hi contrast screen i tried and ended up with a mix that gave a very vibrant pic

@projectordude - You can buy a warranty from Square Trade to supplement the manufacturer's warranty. Reviews for Square Trade's service have been almost universally positive. AND it doesn't matter whether you buy the item on eBay or from a manufacturer OR whether it's new or a refurb.
