Ira Hayes, the Native America, but as many put it back then "are you the Indian who raised the flag on Iwo Jima?". Hayes died as a drunk found dead, lying in his own blood and vomit, near an abandoned adobe hut in Sacation, Az. The police did not conduct an investigation into Hayes' death, just another dead dunk Indian.

I found out that the ones that lived were "heroes", but do you know what happen to them. PTSD, that's what. Rene Gagnon, lived out his life working at menial jobs. (sounds just like someone that has PTSD). His last job was working as a janitor at an apartment complex.

Thank you so very much...our Dad who just passed on 06 Jan 2012 was a US Marine Iwo Jima Survivor. He lived his life in God's way and now is with our Mother in GOD's LIGHT.
