  • They're most likely in the old hangar parking lots to the south. I was there in 87' with Lockheed as a contractor. We maintained the A-4 s that prededed these aircraft.

  • I was stationed at NAF ElCentro and they use to have a Training Wing there (TAW-4 I think). It was A-4's though. I had Navy buddies that went civilian and worked for the unit. Do you know if that unit still there (using Goshawks of course)?

  • Yeah its a mix of shots from outside and next to the runway.

  • Diego,

Now that I've seen the entire clip I see what you mean ... looks like they got inside.

  • Diego,

I'm pretty sure that the fence you see in the videos is right along public roads. I'm pretty sure anyone can get this close. I don't think they have a huge problem with people hanging out since El Centro is in the middle of nowhere.

  • Try that at O'Hare and or Midway airport in Chicago and you are immediately hounded by the "rollers." It sucks!!

(How can they not expect crowd to flock around to photograph the Airbus A-380 that was there a few years ago? Stupid folk didn't open it to the public! ARGH!!!)

  • Nice!!! How do you get so close?

  • How do you get so close? Awesome!

  • jesus christ...how did you get so close to the runway? I'd love to know how to get access like that, as I'm a big military aircraft photographer

  • Indeed ! x2
