I know that you can never hope to scratch the surface of the references with a video like this, and are cursed to forever receive replies from people like me who can think of other ones, but even before I entirely knew where it was from (but knew it was from somewhere) I remember it appearing in the late 80s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon when a Johnny-5 style robot character proclaims that he loves "the smell of lasers in the morning".
