Notes:
- Read the Dev Teams notes!
- If you have an iPhone 3GS it must be already owned
to do thus guide!!!!!! Sorry I forgot to mention that.
- If you have already updated your iPod Touch 2G to 3.1 and its not pwned I would recommend waiting for Redsn0w to come out. It is a lot easier than downgrading. I will have a guide on it also.
- If you get the 1600 error try restoring again without going into dfu mode.
- Here are the firmware names for the devices
iPod Touch 1g: iPod1,1_3.1.1_7C145_Restore.ipsw
iPod Touch 2g: iPod2,1_3.1.1_7C145_Restore.ipsw
iPhone 2g: iPhone1,1_3.1_7C144_Restore.ipsw
iPhone 3g: iPhone1,2_3.1_7C144_Restore.ipsw
iPhone 3gs: iPhone2,1_3.1_7C144_Restore.ipsw

I have an Iphone 3g 16gb i purchased that shud be here in a few days. I wanted to know how difficult will it be to unlock and jailbreak the phone so i can use it with a t-mobile SIM? Oh yea not to mention i have a macbook. Thnx

to downgrade from 3.1 to 3.0.. 1. turn off your device. 2. hold the home button and plug into your computer. 3. itunes will say it is in recovery mode. 4. have the 3.0 firmware downloaded. 5.hold shift(windows) or alt/option(mac) and click on restore. 6. you will be prompted with a finder/explorer window. 7. find the 3.0 firmware and double click on it. 8.let it install the firmware. 9. after the reboot you will be running 3.0 firmware. Hold home + power for 20 secs if this does not work+ retry
