Kenya is playing tough over Mondays decision by the United States to impose a visa ban on a top government official. The official banned from entering the US is one of the fifteen the US has categorised as anti reform. Foreign Affairs minister Moses Wetangula says the US should stop meddling in Kenyas internal affairs and argues that the decision is a breach of diplomatic standards and the UN charter. In the meatime,British High Commisioner Rob McCaire says impunity cannot be tolerated in any country and especially those within the commonwealth. McCaire supported the visa ban imposed on a Kenyan top official accused of standing on the way of reforms. The envoy was speaking during the marking of the commonwealth day in Nairobi.

  • an American assistant minister is equivalent to 55 African presidents who steal election all the time. So spare us that poem and shut up Mr. wetangula

  • Excuse us mr minister. What is the govt doing for the poor common kenyans Or you think kenyans are the few crooked politicians targeted for blocking reforms? Last week the govt released those who had murdered in cold blood by an act of open impunity. Where else on earth does this happen?Or the families of the kenyans who lost their lives are not kenyans becz they are poor? You are talking for the rich and not for kenyans. The U.S has every right to do what they did and in the manner they choose.

  • FOR THUGS LIKE WETANGULA , THE GAME IS UP! YOU HAVE BEEN STEALING PUBLIC FUNDS WITH IMPUNITY, THREATENING ORDINARY KENYANS WHO BLOW THE WHISTLE, EVEN MURDERING THEM. NO MORE! YOU ARE THUG, HAS ALWAYS BEEN A THUG AND GOOD RIDDANCE!

  • Foreign Meddling is Good! watch?v=0HrJYI1QHa8

  • while i don't support the current govt. of kenya, i do side with this guy on this issue. being an African in America, i can't help but imagine a couple of white guys sitting in a room and deciding what to do with Kenya and agreeing that humiliating their leaders was a good idea, i mean, what could they possibly do about it beside bitch.

there will always be a paternalistic relationship btw the west and kenya. some kenyans are so eager to criticize their govt they fail to see the big picture

  • Look who's talking recklessly... Ati Asst Minister. Shut up Mr. Wetangula just shut up.

  • Mr. Baraza when Hillary Clinton was in Kenya she said that US policy is tricky because under US foreign policy they are supposed to sanction kenya but if they do that kenyans will hurt very bad. so they chose the easy way out. Kenya is a burden to US tax payers and they are tired. we beg for everything mau forest, feeding kenyans, balacing the budget........debt makes you a slave

  • who even gives him an audience..reciprocate ur mother these r the practices that make 41% of kenyans poor...we need to be at par with south korea right now.

  • kenyans are dying of hunger, that is not sovereign to me.

  • U shut the hell up!! people are dying of unger, alot of road accident ,power rationing, water rationing,if u cant even run ur ministry,u don't deserve to get out of that mess.thanks to US goverment.

  • How are we a sovereign state if we cannot be able to feed our own people but beg for food from other nations? 41% of Kenyans earn less than a dollar a day! We are a PEST nation and not a sovereign state and that's why other nations are concerned about us because we are a burden to their resources.

  • when you critisize somebody without addressing the issue at hand, you sound arrogant. why ban? because you people seem not to care what the kenyan people want. talk about reforms, rathar than talking about the procedure he used. who cares about procedure when procedures in kenya don't exist. you don't respect what it does not respect itself. you cannot be diplomatic with people who don't listen. 99% of kenyans want reforms, i don't here you adressing that issue. speak for you not for kenya
