I knew all that stuff and agree with the conclusions drawn. But I noticed myself getting amped just like Joe talked about sitting around drinking, playing a country tune and yee hawing about kicking some punkass. A 180 degree mindset difference, but the same gut, visceral reaction. They arent that diff from us, its just they have the power and it corrupts.
