There was some footage cut from this excellent "AWA" Face Turn by Ray Stevens. Ray was actually attacked by the Heenan Family shortly after he broke Heena's trophy but then was rescued by some of the "faces". A major face turn by Ray Stevens! R.I.P. Ray "The Crippler" Stevens! A true legend!

I remember seeing this when I was 12. At that time I thought it was awesome! Then Ray Stevens teamed up with Pat Patterson, and took on the whole Heenan family. Thanks for posting

@DotDotkins I agree. I think people were so shocked at this. Bockwinkel and Stevens were such a pair, Stevens was not a fan favorite in anybody's mind, and the way they did it was so innovative for its time. It caught everyone off guard.

They were calling Bobby "Sir Robert Heenan." Bockwinckle was a great philosophical and articulate heel. They just cannot replicate this wrestling old school stuff.

I think that crowd was in a state of shock, like you said a "face turn" wasn't so common back then. I don't think the crowd could believe what they saw.
