Imagine combining the magic power of you and your buddies' handheld projectors to discover treasures that none of you can see alone? Following up their previous work, the University of Toronto and Mitsubishi researchers further explored how multiple handheld projectors can be used together to support interaction between people. Take a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-AJnLMzE0k&mode=related&search=

  • i really would like to know the model of videoprojectors you use there,...?

  • The ones used in the video are Mitsubishi PK10 pocket projectors, the smallest you can buy now. Much smaller laser-based projector prototypes are being developed by companies such as Microvision.

  • @bobretsmith It's research! Everything starts off ugly :P

  • cool if it actualy happens

  • "hey i need to get bob's number from you"

"ok let me pull out my not so pocket sized ugly projector thing to give it to you. get yours out too."

"ok now we have to wait for them to warm up"

"ok. here we go. wait! how does this work?!?!?!?!?!"

Cool idea, not useful at all.

  • it seems ammazing but i guess its useless :/ i mean theorically so good but practically is not..

  • WAIT I SAW CHUCK NORRIS IN THE CORNER

  • thanks, it appears those projo need a real black room... not enough bright ...

an about your concept,i think direct manipulations by fingers to move virtual objects may be better...have you evolve somewhere you don't think ? What have been the next add-ons or next concepts after those projo ?

what about the star wiimote from now ?

  • It's amazing !

I think something could be done to improve the hand-held device into and HEAD-HELD device.

What do u think about ?
