How can you say you cannot stand the movies when you never seen it?

Not all the characters are yelling and ghetto. He is a playright so he takes good care to make sure his characters have wide variety.

@quitejaded quite easily. While turning channels I have seen several clips, I just referenced that one. If it isn't the loud ghetto woman,it's a woman in a bad wig being a bitch to a well-meaning man that is just trying to talk to her or it's a woman pissed off at her ex husband that left her for a white woman. Just from seeing those brief clips lets me know that nothing he writes would be of interest to me. However, I understand how he is popular with some people.

I'm gonna look up the stoning of Soraya....i hate movies like that so I force myself to watch them...you know I love me a good blaxploitation film and a spoof of one is even better! Definitely going to watch the documentary, when I was going to high school, pro lifers showed up one day and harassed all the girls and had billboards with aborted fetuses on them and it pissed me off! Thanks for the recommendations!

@SpookyElectric777 Yah, it is unfortunate those are the only clips you saw and that you saw them out of context. After the whole crazy Media Mad Black Woman thing, he has started taking some of his more developed plays (the ones with the characters or concepts) and turning them into movies. I think you would re-consider your stance on Tyler Perry if you got to see some of those. Even the ones with the crazy characters contain the message he wanted to send in his original plays.
