God of War II - infinite red orbs using a save point

At the first part, I stonefreeze an enemy, then shatter him, at the exact same time creating a new checkpoint by R1'ing the save. The game gives you orbs from crushing your foe, but on retry the foe is back again, and the procedure can be repeated. I think this works with any save point with monsters nearby, but I haven't tried.

Orbs at the start = 232214
Orbs at the end = 237689
(note: Urn of Gaea is on)

In second part I do a brutal kill, and again at the moment of kill retry. This is a lot more inefficient, since I only get +5 brutal kill bonus for each time I do this. But at least it's possible on Normal Play...

Orbs at the start = 237689
Orbs at the end = 237744

Each kill counts as a kill. As you can notice, first my shatter kills go up, at the second part brutal kills.

Technically, yes. But it can be done only at somewhere later in the game.
