In this two part video, Emily Haggett, D.V.M., tells you how to identify early symptoms of Colic as well as explains common causes of Colic. In part two, Dr. Haggett gives advice on taking steps to ensure you won't have to go through the frightening and expensive experience of a horse in full blown Colic. Remember, Colic is an emergency - always call a Veterinarian if you suspect your horse may be experiencing Colic! Dr. Haggett, is completing a residency in large animal internal medicine at U.C.Davis.

  • @RenoOTTB lol no there was a typo before i know prevention is important

  • @Buhbing In some situations you can't do anything about it, but colic can be caused by the horse eating bad hay among other things. So certain times, colic can be prevented.
