Warasaw Pact was a military allience established on May 14th, 1955 by Soviet Union in Response to US establishing NATO ON 4th April 1949. Warsaw Pact then collapsed along with Soviet Union in 1991.

by the way are you sure that albania was part of warsaw pact. i know that they were worst then N.Korea. they had only realtionship with SSSR, but after few years they break up

Yugoslavia was banned from pact,because Tito yugoslav president refused Stalin request of stationing russian troops in yugoslavia

@CARMINEOWNZ were not talking about the warsaw pact were talking about today and china and india have new tanks and so does russia the ka 52 would destory the apache anyday and the type 98 chinese tank would have the dsame armor as the m1 and the qbz95 is alot more easier to kill someone than an m4 or m16 and the mi28 would destroy the cobra too the russians and their allies have stronger weapons than NATO anyday no is cheap shite put together and russia doesn't use the t55anymore

@mily357 the myth? most warsaw pact countries were still using MiG 19-21s while NATO was beginning to use the F-16? Russia, the most powerful warsaw pact country, was using a MiG 27 in the 70s.. We didn't stand a chance vs NATO

now that being said, while poland might of had a large number of tanks and aircraft, they were so much weaker than the NATO tanks/aircraft that it wouldn't matter

It's like Albania, we had over 1000 T-59s, T-62s, and T-69s, but whats the use? an old soviet tank vs nato?

@CARMINEOWNZ You are wrong. During the cold war, Poland alone had enough military power to take on most of the western europe. If you include the Soviet Union and the rest of the Warsaw pact countries. NATO wouldnt stand a chance (im not taking nukes into account). Also the myth about NATO being more technologically advanced is not true.

@SpyWizard2 Lol none of those countries could fight West Europe alone. Poland is the only warsaw pact country that could maybe fight a weaker Western power alone. The point of the Warsaw pact was so that NATO could step all over Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and East Germany before they got to the motherland USSR.
