  • I'm pretty disappointed with George there.I don't understand why he had to use social class and that example of the war to defend Ken Livingstone's congestion charge on 'gas guzzlers'. In fact I don't see why someone with a high polluting vehicle has to pay more for tax etc if they are driving 2 miles a day when someone with a 1.1L drives 150 miles a day has to pay less. Why cant we tax on usage rather than tax those that we perceive to be the biggest polluters. And by the way I don't own a car.

  • Boris is great

  • @zidaneistheking well this is supposedly the Manchester Guardian.

  • According to chaos theory every windmill built changes the climate by initiating strong southerly winds hence warming the Planet even more.

  • At 6:45 - George eats it. I can't stand people like this guy who think they're winning and then you have to explain life to them. Duh... take it as a "given" that the source would be "renewal" for that would be the only way it would be 0% carbon. He is not Mr Johnson's intellectual equal.

  • @KnockoffNigeI - I know you posted 4 months ago but I have to say that is an excellent comment. Most people don't realise that the majority of their fuel bills go toward ADMIN.

  • Boris knows his onions, that's for sure. It is, indeed, difficult for journalists to get the upper hand because he is a non-stop machine able to do research endlessly and he is also a "solution oriented" individual who happens to have been a journalist himself and won't lose that inquisitive nature. I'm voting for him in 2012 just because he DOES listen and he DOES take it onboard what people say.

  • George for mayor!
