During the Phoenix mission to the northern polar region of Mars, the spacecraft's cameras captured individual images of the sun's passage across the sky. Being so far north and at that time of the Martian year, the sun never actually sets (the same happens herem of course) and so the sun is still high in the sky at midnight.
