  • colonization of space in massive scale, is out of our reach right now. But a little at time we can do it. But it has to be private, not governement controlled. The first step should be cheap lifting in orbit. If we can go cheapely in orbit, then everything is possible. Private enterprices have some whery interesting concepts....

  • @beccafireflystar, you have both oxygen and water,to grow food on both the moon and Mars. Whether its a city in space or a dome on a planetary body, you would have to create a breathable atmosphere, proper temp range, grow food and create a sustainable environment. At least on Mars you could get it to where you don't have to live in a bubble.

  • @harolze if ur spaceship is consisted of 30 ft of feathers ur screwed.

  • @unclefixer what about the oxygen, Constant food supply and right livable temperature and atmospheric pressure?

  • @sniped101 Agreed. Americans are the greatest in the world, but we can't seem to get our priorities straight. Priority 1) Kill anybody that disagrees with us. Priority 15,223,123) Maybe someday think about our future and start doing something in order to explore the universe and preserve our civilization.

It seems that we have a specific difficulty with making issues into priorities BEFORE they become absolute emergencies.

  • A city in space? Good idea, but you will need raw material to build those cities. That material will come from the moon and mars. Mars could be terraformed and be a livable world. You could live on a planet almost like earth, not a big bubble.

  • Well if you guys aren't inerested, I'm colonizing space myself. Screw you!

  • Since there are only a couple of molecules of space dust in 1 cube of space the ion engines have to release halogen or freon gas to be able to use the light wave othervise the thrust can't be created.

  • Is this a video? I waited for 14:01 and it was still the same thanks.

  • I cant agree with that statement [harolze].The human race is responsible for a great deal of suffering among our selves and many other species. The suffering in space would be short term among us until we adapted.God help anyother life form out there if it exsists.Anything we found would be exploited or destroyed. I hope one day we will learn to respect any enviroment we may encounter.
