My grandfather who was the same age as him passed away a couple of days ago. His speech really hit me hard emotionally. I love the way he tries to speak to younger people and get them interested in the way things used to be.

His speech made me cry and feel sad I don't know many people who are honored to have a friend get engaged in their home. This is why I love hearing about how things use to be. People cherished friendships now it seems everyone is out to hurt each other. Idk that's just what I've observed.

When Don and John hugged on stage and the audience's applause grew I got teary. Don is such a sweetheart and comedy has evolved so much and he's still good ol' Don Rickles. The man is a legend and John Stewart is a great heir to the comedy throne. Long live Don and long live comedy!

When I was 8 years old back in the '60s I had an uncle with a devious sense of humor. He gave me an album-Don Rickles Live from Las Vegas,my 1st comedy album.Now,admittedly I didn't understand most of the jokes...("Mom,what's a BEAVER in HEAT mean?")and being brought up Roman Catholic my Mom was not at all happy.She'd hide the album on me,but I'd find it...eventually I figured out most of the jokes....Thanks Don.....

Moving,funny,nostalgic....from­ the looks of last night,I'm not quite sure he can perform anymore(I hope I'm wrong)but this was a moment to be treasured.He's the only real living link we have to the glorious times of the rat pack,Carson,ect.....I hope he's around for a long,long time.....
