Here's a video showing different stages of Bonesaw: The Game's development. It's a little long, but if you want to see how dumb it looked in the beginning, enjoy!

Some of the songs you hear in the video are some chiptunes found around the web. These were in the game before the original soundtrack came to be. One notably made an appearance in Lyle in Cube Sector, a great indie title!

  • Wow first response in a year 0.0

This is a GREAT game, it it's funny how there's no code (made in multilmedia fusion 2 developer wasn't it?)

  • @Denzien2 The entire game was made in MMF! Just the standard version, I didn't use Developer. So yeah, no hand written code at all, its all check boxes!

  • @lolxerus

The only thing I want to ask is, why the fat guy that looks like a wrestler with women around him?

  • @Denzien2 Whooaa buddy, best be trollin.

Go find out more about Macho Man Randy Savage, you have a lot to learn.

  • Awesome stuff. Really, just terrific.

Have you considered making this open source? I've been working on a platformer myself but I've hit several snags that I can't seem to work around. I'd be very interested to see your approaches.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that could learn a lot. :P

  • @Acroman12 Probably not going to open-source Bonesaw since it's pretty messy, but I'm pretty open to sharing any of my techniques for my games. Quite a few people have emailed me questions and I respond to them all with as much detail as I can ;D

Lol, oh that's who it is XD

  • @Acroman12 He responds very much in-depth. A shining example of what a developer should be!

  • Haha, is space level 2 the one with the secret door? Man I was so evil making this game.

These files all exist still, (I have about 60 gigs of bonesaw backups that span across 200 different versions of the game!) but I'm not sure if they'll ever be publicly released for playing. Maybe someday though!

  • Do the files of these original versoins still exist? Because if they do, I'd love to play them for some strange reason.

PS Them SLUzers originally looked damn wierd... Gee I wonder why? :)

PSS Space level 2 is impossible!!
