Reception of XEW "W - Radio" from Mexico City in Northern Ireland. Signal was way over the top of Spanish stations on the same Frequency. Seldom heard this loud before.

  • 1060 MW and 6185 is Radio Education from Mexico City. This station is public radio, is operated by the Minstry of Education. XEW 900 MW for many years was owned by Televisa, now is owned by a spanish group, so you can hear W Radio in Colombia, L.A, Miami, Panama on local radio.

  • "W Radio" is a pan-Latin American news radio network, it can be heard across Latin America, into Europe and even Africa or Asia. The nearest "W Radio" transmitter to me is 1050AM from Mexicali/Tijuana also serves the Spanish-speaking audience in Los Angeles and San Diego, but that's before KCAA of San Bernardino went on the air last June. You can't get it normally west of Indio Cal. but face the radio south and it's VERY strong, at night it can bleed up to 1020 but not KNX 1070 from L.A.+

  • 1060 on MW , and 6185KHz on SW from 00 to 12UTC

  • affirmative, that's XEW 900KHz, from Mexico City transmitter, try also the frequency of 540KHz it's a repeater with 250kw tx
