May 11, 2012 marks the 15-year anniversary of IBM's chess-playing supercomputer, Deep Blue's victory over a reigning world chess champion. IBM Research scientist Dr. Murray Campbell, one of the original developers, talks about the challenges and breakthroughs of building Deep Blue.

    u're wrong dude, kasparov style of playing was aimed to face a machine, to complicate calculation accepting an inferior position, also what a multinational doesnt do to increase 15% of their actions the day before a chessmatch?

    PD:game one (stupid machine style), game 2(man style), also they kill deep blue after the match, if they a a deep blue can defeat every chess player on the world why make it disappear?

    because deep blue denied the holocaust in the log files- they had to dismantle it- ibm did not cheated- only karpov could beat kasparov at that time and karpov was definiteley not sitting under the table
