I sometimes wonder how many unreleased BOC tracks are lying around that none of us have ever heard.

The loose, jazzy drumming and Doors-y keys reminds me of Stalk Forrest-Group a bit. It's kinda sad their heavier and poppier sides eventually edged out the trippy rock 'n' roll boogie feel that made their first 3 albums so unique. It's too bad it was left off the album, but it's cool to know they liked it enough to play some of it live with The Red & The Black. Who knows how many live jams were once unreleased songs?

This is a great tune - and what makes it so is the duelling lead guitar parts - Buck and Allen - both using Telecasters - first I've ever heard Buck do this- but the two of them both have great chops and pull it off. The live version of the R&theB does indeed come from this, as was previously noted. If I was producing and had to choose between this and another track I would have replaced "Cagey" as much as I love that song, with this one. Great stuff indeed.
