BLOOD - upcoming vampire movie based on the acclaimed DC Comics/Vertigo graphic novel. Written for the screen and directed by award-winning filmmaker Marc Rosenbush. Produced by Omar Kaczmarczyk and Yakov Bentsvi.

The motion picture adaptation of BLOOD promises to turn this provocative DC Comics/Vertigo Comics graphic novel into a hugely entertaining popcorn movie.

The story follows a young boy from his mysterious birth to his transformation into the vampire called Blood. And we share Blood's journey as he struggles to survive, control his hungers, and hold onto his humanity in a surreal world where nearly everyone is a vampire.

BLOOD explores fascinating themes of identity, loss and redemption, all the while delivering an action-packed movie experience full of terrifying vampire battles, hallucinatory imagery, and more.

Originally published as a 4-part comic book series by Marvel Comics under its Epic imprint in 1987, "Blood: A Tale" is currently available as a Graphic Novel published by DC Comics under its Vertigo Comics imprint.

Written by the J.M. DeMatteis ("Moonshadow", "Spiderman", "Daredevil", winner of the Eisner Award, comics' equivalent of an Oscar) and featuring stunning artwork by painter Kent Williams (Neil Gaiman's "Sandman", Darren Aronofsky's "The Fountain"), BLOOD is a powerful, transcendental vampire tale that has remained in print for more than 20 years, and continues to sell all over the world.
