Yep. Stevens was one of a group of "Poor Man's Cary Grant"- type actors that all the tv studios were trying to promote back then. None of them were ever as good as Grant, of course (who could be?), but Stevens wasn't bad in his own right. You also had guys like John Vyvian, Richard Long, and Anthony Eisley (probably the worst of the ones listed here) in various tv shows trying to be suave and debonair. Or swavie and deeboner, as my uncle Cletus says.
@towringer BARNEY PHILLIPS is his name the venutian in the twilight zone and a doctor in 12 oclock high and the mission impossible american cancer society documentary ross martin was a villian in expeiment in terror another blake edwards mancini movie martin was in the wild wild west

Craig Stevens' acting style and voice is a complete knock-off of Cary Grant! Well, well, well...

So the pianist didn't get up and try to save the woman in order to keep his cover as a fake blind man... What a creep!

The opening is a version of "Fallout" .. in one way or another it always opened each episod eof "Peter Gunn". TV - noir at its best.

Even if he'd have been blind, he still would have heard the struggle and yelling.
And then that he actually wasn't...why didn't he try to stop the strangler.
Makes no sense either way!
