I just bought a Blue Yeti.  I am hoping it will be clean enough to record my C6 Yamaha grand piano with precision. Up until now, I have made demo mp3 tunes for my students, but the poor quality mike on my laptop does not record sustained notes for playback--sounds like I didn't pedal at all. I think I need to use the omni directional setting, correct? Thanks! Nice review by the way. Maggie

@maggieskindercorner Omni-Directional is more for conference calls and orchestras where you need to pick up sound from multiple directions. I would try the stereo setting first. Check this link for details bluemic.com/yeti/#/settings/

how is it with noise cancellation? I do a lot of Skype conference calls...and my apartment is on the busy end of the city...people sometimes complain about the traffic sounds...
