Big crash! (Almost deadly accident)

here has been an incident involving a MINI Challenge race car leaving the race track at the City of Ipswich 300 at Queensland Raceway this afternoon.

A MINI Challenge car lost control and rolled over a protective barrier into a crowd gathered at turn six of the track. Medical crews and Police were on-site immediately.

Two spectators were injured and transported to Ipswich Base Hospital. The extent of their injuries appears to be relatively minor, pending full medical evaluation. Both were conscious whilst being treated at the scene. There were no other reported injuries.

The Mini driver was also transported by Ambulance to Ipswich Base Hospital for precautionary tests but was reportedly not injured.

whats stupid is, because of this accident the series in Australia was cancelled, of course its sad that people were injured, but at the end of the day all motor racing is dangerous, and it could have been any damn car from any racing series that could have an accident like that, question is, if a crash like that happened in the v8 supercars category, formula 1, NASCAR would the series be cancelled. NO!!!! not fair for such a great close racing category to get dropped because of one bad accident

i have watched this footage countless times, how no one got killed i cannot understand, the car goes straight into a bunch of spectators yet missed crushing any1 to death completey, i guess i just wasnt there time
