11 7 09 NY goose hunt

Nov 7th, 2009 goose hunt with Clint, Tony, my Dad, my uncle Jim, Larry, and his dad. The guys came up from Pa with two trucks and a trailer full of decoys. We set up 13 dozen decoys in a corn field and had an amazing hunt. We all just started waterfowl hunting last year. This was the first time we got together and smashed them, hell two of the guys shot their first birds. The body count ended up being 20, one short of a 7 man limit.... not too bad for a couple of newbies

I'm in the West Central zone and the regular season was Oct 24th until Nov 21st

Good suggestion on the calling... we flared enough birds early that morning that we tried taking it easy with the calling and then smashed them. We hardly called to the last flock on the video and the entire flocked landed right at our feet... got 6 out of that flock. We shot a bunch more after that, but the camera battery was dead

Very nice vid man! i like seeing some videos of just actual hunting. No music blaring or anything to ruin it i love it good job!

Don't listen to those guys. Good vid man. Only suggestion I'll make, is to lay off on the calling when the birds are heading your way. Just give 'em a few honks, and they'll come in better. Always works.
