Fun cartoon.....not funny, yet, quite fun to watch. But, what has me baffled is what prompted Famous Studios at the time to set cartoons (such as this one) in foreign locales. I had already seen most of the Modern Madcaps (except this one) around '80 when I was just eight, which were set here in the States. However, I had also seen the CBS Children's Film Festival about the same time which also got me hooked on foreign movies and cartoons (believe it or not) to this very day.
Weird but fun :)

@sygo7g I know, it seems that that time was very care free unlike today, its so funny how we can go to a grocery store and look at all the "Throw Back" items, PEOPLE are fascinated with the past. If we can do that with food items, i dont see why TV can't. However we live in such a "P.C" time that i dont think TV will be what it was back in the day, i feel like my generation was the last generation of "old school childhood" though the internet came out when i was 10. Thats why i dont watch TV...

Thanks, Steve. Incidentally, the final shot of London is the same one that Robert Little created for Kneitel's "The Phantom Moustacher" (1961).

GIngold plays the "Gay Purree" feline villian. Good job ID'ing the husband's voice. THe Don M.Yowp blog has one reader [not me] not sure of the voice. Seymour Kneitel died two ays ago and 46 years-July 30,1964.

Howard Post passed away on May 21st, at the age of 83. This was probably the best cartoon he ever created for Paramount....R.I.P.

Bob McFadden is "Farley"'s voice (and almost all the other charcaters), and Hermione Gingold is the shrewish wife. Howard Post, unlike the late Seymour Kneitel, inisted on experimenting with different ideas and animation, and paid the price for it. Paramount executives really weren't interested in what their cartoon studio was "grinding out" at the time (as long as it didn't cost them any money), and Post quit in late '65.

Wow, I...I *liked* this cartoon! I always reckoned Famous Studios in the 60s as cartoon Skid Row, but this is unique - interesting! Someone put a lot of care into it.
That must have been Red Bull he drank.:)
