This is a tutorial on how to make a basic countdown using Adobe CS3 After Effects. If you find this tutorial to be helpful or if you think it totally sucks, please leave a comment. I am going to use all comments to make my videos better in the future. If you really like it and want to know more, I will be making some tutorials on how to make more advanced countdowns and other things.

  • @foureyes001 he asked how to create a countdown just with minutes and seconds.

  • @foureyes001 sorry, create the mask on the precomposition.

  • @foureyes001 it should work, but if it doesn´t, precompose the timer (control+shift+c or command + shift + c if you´re on a mac) and create a mask on the timer.

  • @nojobstv Already tried that. It doesn't work.

  • @musicdanny7 just mask out what you want to exclude.

  • not working in cs4

  • @RitinhaSoaresMoura In number, go to > type, short date or long date
