Theres a mistake here. When the family shows up at Mickeys apartment, the curtain to the kitchen area is completely closed. Ed points out the "Happy 5th sign" , then Ed and Mickey reminisce over mickey's first day on the job, Mama asks to sit down, then the camera shows them all, and this time the curtain to the kitchen area is wide open.
