LeBron James is awesome, but he's not Jordan. He's not even D-Wade...yet.
Just because you're talented, can sell jerseys and get publicity doesn't mean you belong in the Hall of Fame. Just because you're a star doesn't mean you're a superstar.
You get a reputation, but you earn a legacy.
And in a league full of stars, some guys benefit from teams, teammates or the city in which they play.
How much bigger would Joe Dumars have been if he played in New York? Patrick Ewing had a stellar college career, but playing in New York definitely boosted his stature.
To be an NBA star and deserve all the accolades and attention, you have to perform on the big stage, come through when it matters and be more than just a beneficiary of your surroundings. No one is saying Robert Horry isn't good or didn't hit big shots, but he had a ton of help.
Ask Charles Barkley if talent is the only thing that matters in being labeled a star. There is luck involved, too.
There are a lot of good players, but few great. And some greats are not Hall of Fame worthy.
And even in the Hall of Fame, legendary is another level. Don't believe the hype.

Lebron is over rated. are you kidding me? He is 3rd all time in ppg he is top 25 all time in apg. he is the most unselfish forward in league history and still manages to be 3rd all time in ppg.
