  • Thank you for the response. It was useful, Although one thing to add, if enlightenment is beyond siddas, yogic powers would be present in the state of enlightenment. If yogic powers were not present in enlightenment, it would demonstrate some form of ignorance/inability below yogic powers. I am struggling to see how any form of ignorance/inability can be present in the highest state of enlightenment. How to solve this problem?

  • Enlightenment is an expression of existence. As devotion demands, divinity descends. Siddas are expressed when required as we mentioned before. For emphasis, we can only repeat the earlier statement.

  • I cannot see Swamiji at this time but I would ask this question. The ability to manifest gold or walk on water while I do not care for the superficial effect by itself and do not need it. Can you not directly measure enlightenment in regards to these abilities. Should anyone be called enlightened if they cannot do these things. If one cannot do these things how can one say they have reached the ultimate when infinite potential is not present to manifest those abilities. That is all thank you.

  • What you are referring to are called the yogic powers. The yogic powers or the siddas are attainable by anybody who has gone through certain rigorous kriyas. This ability of expressing the /siddas is neither necessary nor sufficient condition to determine enlightenment. Enlightened state is beyond siddas.

Siddas are sometimes needed to help some devotees but mostly diversions from the essence of spiritual training, helping the devotees to attain the enlightenment.

  • I am addicted to this Swami. Compare this Swami to Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhpada, and you will see nithyananda is more credible. No offence.

  • Dear Devotee:

Every Master expresses his/her own experience in their own unique way. Please let us not compare one master against other. Hope you understand.

  • im a muslim but wht i learn a lot from this gantleman .may god bless him i think he alredy blessed him with enlightment ....

  • In fact, I would go further and state that siddhas are distractions and temptations that should be avoided in order to consolidate that expanded state of consciousness (enlightenment). By manifesting those powers, one gives the chance and opportunity for the mind (manas) and ego (ahamkara) to resurface or strengthen which can be dangerous and detrimental.

  • karna's charioteer was 'salya' but not 'sanjaya' perhaps swamiji has misspelt the name.Any way this is a unique interpretation of Mahabharata

  • Its a fact Mahabharatha is not real. So I think its just fair its subject to interpretation. Its great to hear another interpretatioon and i does appeal to me a lot at a practical level. Great Job.

  • Pranam Swamji,

Whatever you said about the initiation, i being through the same experience lately. I'm being reading quite a lots of books and lately when i came through your discourse i learn so much. I understand whatever you are talking Swamji. I swallowed quite alot. Please help me Swamiji!!!!

    What should I do?

  • Well said!

  • Go beyond the story line.

And only people who are sincerely struggling with enlightenment or spiritual seekers would be able to understand his analogies. Seems as if you missed the whole thing ...

  • He also says Krishna when he means Arjuna on another video. He knows the difference.... Man, you're blessed to be living in India, maybe you should go tell Swami Nithyananda your lofty opinions in person.

  • perhaps he simply misspoke?

  • Well, I do agree that Nithyananda did get some of the 'facts' of the Mahabharatha 'wrong' but then again, this is not a speech on the actual events; it's more on what they signify according to him. My earlier statement was to suggest to look beyond "petty" details and in this case they certainly are.
