I tend to agree with you, but these flying sculptures probably wouldn't exist without the basic human instinct to dominate and/or kill each other. Like video games, fighter planes are one of the *very* few good things that war has ever produced! Still, the price is too high, and for once, I'm not talking about price in dollars--and that's coming from someone with a lifelong fascination with fighter aircraft.

Too bad, you Swedes don't give it a chance to be tested in war. . Your surroundings are so calm and peaceful that a wonderful opportunity to test them is lost. Beautiful jet though. Respect.
On second thoughts, you should lease some Gripens to US for just testing purposes. They're almost all the time warring so they could do the tests for you. :P

those airplanes should not be used in wars. wars are a waste of time.
people should have the chance to take a seat with the pilot and exerience a plane like the gripen

Heres to you Sweden (and Saab) you have the most beautiful jet in the world ( and one of the best)....I wish they had foreign aircraft in american air shows :(
