chrism76 you can't change the refresh rate of the tv. It's impossible. What you can turn on or off is a feature found in even some 60hz tv called motion enhancement, automotion plus or some other name used by different manufacturers is just a feature that adds extra frames to an image to give the illusion that it's smoother or give it whats known as the "soap opera effect". The televisions refresh rate can not be change from 120hz or 60hz or 240hz, but motion enhancement can.

Well I have a 120hz lcd and when I toggle from 60hz to 120hz I see the difference, everyone I showed it to sees a diffence so I don't understand why some don't see it.

not only that, but... our screens run at 60 hz so all we see is 60 frames and not 120 or 480 hz. but i have a 480 hz plasma which still runs at native 60 hz and 120/480 are still undetectable to the naked eye since all we can see is 60 frames anyway lol. but its still got a good true motion to it.
It's kind of hard to tell on our screens when the camera is constantly moving.
