  • Yes, I understand that music flows better when it doesn't behave like a metronome, but they changed tempos on to grand of a scale, And some of the places where they changed just didn't make sense.

  • It completely takes away from the effect of the begging of the song and adds nothing to it. It is very distracting when you try to listen to beautiful music being created.

  • My GOODNESS yes. Where can I track this man down?

  • I think so too! Isn't he fantastic?

  • I know, what a shame. But the guy reciting the second half of it is incredible. Love that voice.

  • The poem being spoken IS the text of the whole piece. How does is "not work"?

  • do you know who the conductor is? dr. tim seelig, he himself had spoken to the composer of this song and infact he was told that is was a wonderful idea to add the poem to the beg. of the song. yet i wouldn't expect you to undestand the temp either, music needs to flow. if music was to be performed at one solid tempo the whole time why not listen to a metrnome? and i vaule you oponion about this. if music was perfect to everyone it wouldn't be called music.

  • i think the accompanist was sensational :D

  • What the heck is wrong with you people? (Performers and People who comment)The poem being spoken does not work for this song and the tempo is to slow at part and not fast enough at other parts. It is supposed to take about this much time. They just switched tempos randomly and this caused the song not to flow at all. And they had terrible dynamic contrast towards the end. The first but strong in will section is mezzo piano, the second is mezzo forte, and the following ones are f-fff.

  • take the tempo up with seelig. lol
