Testing very cheap FAKE Mitsubishi RF power transistors for output.
Also on the market as 2SC2166/2SC2078/2SC1306/2SC1307 etc...
I wonder just how many radios have been scrapped because of this problem - people looking for another fault when it was that FAKE transistor all the time!...Loads of these on EBAY, people buy them because there cheap but they get a reality check when they go to use them - no output!!

  • I heard a rooster at 1:43

  • Your lucky, i hear it all the time!!

  • Very informative, I actually bought these "fake" 2SC1969 power transistors from a seller in HK. For a few dollars, I received half dozens of them. Oh well, I need to get the real McCoys now!

  • If you are looking for 2SC1969 at a good price that actually work then check out my videos for the ELEFLOW replacements.

I have the 2SC1969 and 2SC2312 ELEFLOW replacement transistors which work as good if not better than the original Mitsubishi's, i have also listed them on Ebay for people to buy.

You won't get a working 2SC1969 for the price you paid from those crap HongKong sellers!!!

  • Keep up the good work educating people Mark, hopefully put these crooked dealers out of business, because they know exactly what they are selling, despite their pleas of ignorance, best wishes George, always been a pleasure to deal with you,and I will happily vouch for anything you sell.

  • Hi Goerge, yes i am afraid these fakes are all over the market.

Its amazing that since Mitsubishi stopped making the 1969/2166/2312 type transistors there are now more on the market than when they were making them!

Ebay is swamped with them and people buy them because there cheap, do they really think there going to get a working one for a couple of dollars each - no i don't think so.

The other problem is refurbished parts which are recycled used parts being sold as new.
