You should put this information on the false website "WikiIslam" which pretends to try and fight against Islamophobia yet works as hard as it can to nourish it. Their article on Muhammed and Aisha's marriage (or any other topic in Islam) is purposefully misleading and insulting. I would like to see if you could add any of this information on their website and they let you leave it there. I came here after reading the article to remind myself of these points.

your question has already been answered, but let me try one more time:

In Islam, a "girl" cannot marry. Only when she becomes a woman, is psychologically mature, and consents to the marriage, can that marriage be consummated and the marriage contract finalized.

Regarding dolls, they are still used today as preparation for motherhood, as we explained in part 2 of the video.

What I see is that Islam's "marital law" follows the cultural habits of a society hundreds of years ago.

Reality has it that Muslims today marry off girls in arranged marriages. Is this acceptable or not?

you are not getting the message of this video right

1- it is OK in Islam to marry and consummate a marriage with a WOMAN who has reached puberty AND IS PSYCHOLOGICALLY MATURE and with CONSENT

2- we did not present any argument of cultural relativism, except to show how non-Muslim cultures follow cultural relativism to the detriment of society, and Islam's marital law applies effectively then and now

3- you cannot "marry off" anyone in Islam...see point 1

Am I getting the message of this video right:

- it is ok in Islam and according to Islamic jurisprudence to marry and consummate this marriage with a girl playing on a swing with her dolls?

- because all girls 2000 years ago were fully matured at an early age and all societies at the time allowed early marriage and sex, it was ok for Islam to follow suit?

- today's tradition of marrying off young girls in some Islamic cultures is acceptable?

- all of the above is desirable and good?
