Fire At Morley Annear Trucking Limited

Sunday Feb. 7, 2010 - Morley Annear Trucking Ltd. was destroyed in a massive fire this afternoon here in Montague. Massive fireballs were seen shooting into the sky as gas tanks ignited and trucks and heavy equipment burned in the huge garage at the rear of the former Petro-Canada gas station.

Many fire trucks from the Montague and Cardigan fire departments were on scene and were rushing back and forth to get more water as each truck was emptied. RCMP had the road blocked off as hundreds of spectators came for a look at the fire.

Kings County EMS ambulances were on the scene as well. No word yet on injuries. As of 6:41(AST), all firetrucks, police, and ambulances are still on the scene as the fire continues to burn. Thick black smoke can be seen in the sky for many miles around.

it was a good video but i would like to point out that while it was nice to that Cardigan FD and Motague FD they wern't thee only departments that reponded to the blaze. There were members fron Georgetown FD as well as Murray River FD.

Did it matter which fire department responded they were all there and they know that people make such a fuss over little things do it matter to anyone that employees and morley annear lost everything in that fire and that noone got hurt was the most important thing. It could of been alot worst it could of been in the Monday morning and people could of been in the building or the people in the apartment building could of been asleep and got killed that is the most important thing that did happen

is that what happened to the MVFB firefighter, i heard that one of them was sent to hostpital when i arrived on scene, but did'nt get any other info on what happened .

i know that morley will have no porblem rebilding, he lost about 250,000 dollers weth of equpment its sad that the news dident menchin much about the efferts of the FDs and sed nothing about the fier fighter who had a stell overhead door fall right on top of him but made such a big deal about how a repoter who was in almost no danger when a propain tant exploded in the backround
