This is my attempt at personalizing and tuning one of these micro racers. My driving is pretty weak since I was more focused on getting a descent shot of the truck.

  • what shocks did you use

  • @rcmonstertruckfan1 - The red truck just has the stock shocks in it. The gray truck has the titanium hop-up shocks. I'm not sure on the brand but they were the only ones available for these trucks at first. Honestly, since the ti-shocks are not sealed and just use friction grease for damping, I'd recommend just using the friction grease on the stock shocks. The grease will leak out a bit faster with the stock shocks than with the ti-shocks but they both leak and damping eventually fades out.

  • How did you take the decals off of the body?

  • @loudog4eva - most of the decals just peel off once you get them started. For the side decals, I used a utility blade to score the decal (without cutting through to the lexan) and peeled off the unwanted parts without lifting the parts that I wanted. It takes a steady hand so go easy on the coffee before attempting this one. good luck.

  • is there a 7.4 lipo in any of the trucks

  • @jjrules07 - no lipo in either truck. Just the stock battery pack is all I needed for racing in my living room.

  • cool.... look up my vid called backflips with the micro DT..... by gelston123.... really cool vid

  • @BIGb0z014 i agree

  • so you have two trucks??? it wouldbe cool if you showed how to do your mods thanx and i love the black truck

  • how did you tighten your turn radius

  • @thepythongeckos - I just used the "friction grease" that came with the ti shocks. The ti shocks are not sealed so the grease does ooze out a bit. I used the same grease in the stock plastic shocks and it worked pretty good but the grease oozes out much faster. I'm not sure if you can buy just the friction grease but you don't need very much - anyone with the ti shocks will have about 95% of the grease left over.

  • thats pretty cool, improving driving ability
