Rick Brienzo Jamming on his banjitar. one man band style with a drum machine. I used my Dean Backwoods 6 string banjo into a Fender Deluxe Reverb. Drum machine is a Roland MC505

  • The pickup is mounted under the head on the coordinator rods just below the neck just like a Gold Tone GT-500 Banjitar. It's a cheap/generic Ibanez humbucker. For strings I use Ernie Ball regular slinky 10's electric guitar strings. I think I was capo'd at the 4th fret only because it worked with the key of the drum machine. I normally do not capo. Open G tuning.

  • Thanks! It's a Dean tuned to open G.

  • I Love the exotic middle eastern feel you got going on there.

  • What kind of chords are you playing?

  • How is this not one of the most popular videos ever?! It should be shown on the news every night. "And in unrelated news, this guys is still a bad ass."

  • How did you put a pickup on the Dean? Which one? And what kind of stings/gauge? Also what fret are capo'd at?

    Good stuff.

  • It is decided. I WILL GET A BANJITAR

  • Truly unreal and inspiring. I hope to be as good as you someday. I was greatly surprised and amazed by this video.

  • you shoud put up tabs for that
