Just a little tip k,you should practice shooting from your stand. When elevated above your target you are going to hit higher than what you would normally hit on ground level. That's why you hit so high because you didn't allow for that difference. Perfect line just high. Great buck congrats!

no sorry not a spine shot, it actually destroyed far side lung resulting in the buck only traveling about 100yards with massive blood loss, hard to tell in the video it rained shortly after the shot before we made our recovery.. the buck was litterally 5-6 yards from the base of the tree so shooting at that angle it was actually a decent shot, thanks arch007er

congrats on your eight! we are in harrison county and we also hunt some in portage.. looking forward to harvesting something a lil more mature this year, we've got about 5 bucks close to patterned that are all 5-7 years old and all grossing in the 150's and up! this season will surely be our greatest yet!
