@delta426e those who don't block are not good racers nothing says cool like oh no please go around me.

The 'one move' to defend rule is fine. It's not ok when people chop across when the attacking car is either already there, or just pulling out to make the move. Sadly it seems to be common in the junior formula these days. I see Williams' accident at Snetterton already mentioned (+ B. Senna on the same straight in F3). There was another one at Barcelona a couple of years ago where one car almost hit a solid structure in the pit lane! These moves are worth penalites. Not 50/50 collisions.

Reminds me of a similar FPA incident at Snetterton involving Jordan Williams,who was even luckier to walk away.Easy to find on youtube

Wadsworth Constant applies.

You get one move, shouldn't of used it like that however.

@delta426e Agreed. It can be said that blocking is a form of immaturity, or a true 'champion's' attempt at securing a victory, at all costs. In any case, it's just pure stupid. If the guy behind you is faster, then you belong BEHIND him.

@ursuss100 That's exactly what I mean.

@TimKaaarl 1982 Gilles Villeneuve fatal wreck at Zolder was quite the same thing. Villeneuve wanted to overtake Mass by the outside but Mass moved on the outside too. And Villeneuve clipped it and rolled to his death...
This is why blocking in motorsports is such a terrible thing. No respect for your fellow competitor.
