@aureusyarara IT DOES LOL!!!!!!

Why do they have to hold their heads so far away?
It looks like she'd thinking "He could use a mint!"
-
@lolloldog It's one of the more challenging dances. If you think it's easy, you aren't trying hard enough.

@evolownfate My mother is a professional ballroom dancer and I am a dance major - trust me, there are reasons we do things the way we do. It lengthens the line and creates a much nicer shape, and it makes it so the audience is aware that this is a performance, not just two people dancing together.

@evolownfate i know it is an old comment, but no it looks a lot better back, trust me, it is called frame or taking/holding frame. It also makes turning (Spinning as you may like to call it) Way way way easier. At the same time as making it easier, it adds difficulty, because the girl has to arch with her upper back, not lower, and has to of course remember to do it! IF the people were to look at eachother, and lean back with their upper backs the way they should, it would look awkward

@evolownfate that's how standard ballroom is danced... women really have what they call "shaping"... even in waltz, tango, foxtrot... they are supposed to be poised to the left (so as the men)... this will let them keep their balance...
