A certain aspect of "Helios", a kinetic sculpture by (Heinz) Mack, located at Düsseldorf airport,Germany. Created in 1969, the work was destroyed by fire in 1996 and finally restored in 2004.

  • ...Upon further investigation I discovered this isn't the insides of alien intestines (lol), its actually rotating shiny metal plates that are bent into a helical shape. As they spin it reflects the light at different points on the helix and depending on what direction it spins it looks like the lights are moving up and down. Super cool right? (You should put this in your description maybe).

  • It is rectangle shaped mirrors with lights surrounding them as they spin causeing them to look like they are moving up and down or that they are round... Very good use of lighting!
