This was taken on January 24, 2008. A crow has grabbed a hawk by the feet and is holding him down on the ground while at least two others attack him (or her?). The hawk fights but is unable to break free until I go outside for a closer look and the crows scatter, releasing the hawk.
Why do people intervene with nature?????? Let me get closer. WTF!!! The hawk had the crow by the way my friend. Hawks kill and eat crows. The crows mate was trying to free it by pecking at the hawk.

A crow grabbed a hawk by the feet and is holdikng him down? That's like saying a fish has grabbed an eagle by the feet -- it looks more like the crow was about to be a snack.

@10rosegarden14 I don't think they did much to affect the outcome. That crow sounded a lot like a video I've seen where a jackdaw pecks at a sparrowhawk that caught it, and manages to make the hawk let go.
It was making the same kind of "aaabwaaaa! abwaaaa!" noise that the crow's doing here, and you can see the crow looking like it's bobbing its head. It was probably pecking at the hawk hard enough to make it let go.

Tch! Just pisses me off when someone's interfering with nature when it's taking its course... I say let the wild animals do whatever they want with each other and to each other!
