at that part of his life he was still doing what he loved the most, and giving it all he had, there are better singer/stage performers for that role, but none had the joy in it he did because he was near the end of a fabulous life, and deserved respect for that and a bit of forgiveness

Agreed. He does a Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady by half speaking, half singing. Mr Price brings his unique voice and oodles of stage presence to this role which is irreplacable.
